Glen Parva Open Gardens 2017.

The Glen Parva Open Gardens event was a huge success and we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all involved, including residents who kindly opened up their gardens to the public, everyone who came along to the event and the café volunteers who provided refreshments throughout the day.

Special thanks also to Glen Parva Parish Councillors Alan Methven and Bob Charlton who helped to organise the event. Over 100 people attended and luckily the weather stayed fine!

You can view some of the photos from the day by visiting our Facebook and Twitter pages. Just search for Glen Parva Parish Council and why not give us a like or follow whilst you're there!

Chairman of the council Mrs Jan Martin had this to say about the event:

Glen Parva you did yourselves proud & came out in your droves today to support our first Glen Parva open Gardens Day in aid of Loros Sensory Gardens, you also supported the Park Cafe & gave them the best days takings since we opened, they actually ran out of cakes , which in turn supports our Glen Hills library, It was a brilliant day & I enjoyed sharing my garden with some lovely people & hopefully made some new friends. Will we do it again next year ?? You bet !!!

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a lovely day, raising money for a fantastic cause.
