Leicestershire Trading Standards- Counterfeit Money Scam.

Residents are urged to be aware of a scam where individuals cold call a number claiming to be from the Council checking the validity of installed lifelines.

Once in the home, the individual makes conversation about fake money in circulation. Consumers then give the individual money to check if they are counterfeit. The individual makes an excuse to leave the room and leaves with the money.

Glen Parva Gala 2021.

We are pleased to confirm that next year's Glen Parva Summer Gala will take place on Saturday 7th August 1-4pm on Dorothy Avenue Playing Fields.

All of the main attractions we had booked for this year have been re-booked for the event next summer and we are delighted that they are all able to join us again.

From today, Monday 15th June it is compulsory to wear a face mask on public transport.

Bus, coach, train, tram, ferry and aircraft passengers must wear a face covering on their journey to help reduce the risk of transmission when social distancing is not always possible and where the use of public transport is absolutely essential.

Fly Tipping and How to Report it.

Fly tipping is an offence which comes with a fine of up to £50,000 and/or twelve months imprisonment upon conviction.

I have received reports of fly tipping occurring in the nature reserve with some of the items potentially causing a risk to users of the area.

You can report fly tipping online to Blaby District Council.
