Leicestershire County Council A426  Blaby River Bridge.

Leicestershire County Council have sent a letter out to residents of Glen Parva informing them of upcoming essential concrete repairs on the A426 Blaby River Bridge. It is anticipated that the work will be completed within eight weeks.

Concrete repair works will be carried out week commencing 28th September with temporary traffic management in place and two way traffic maintained.

The Park Cafe Open from Monday 5th October.

Glen Parva Parish Council are pleased to announce that The Park Cafe on Dorothy Avenue with be reopen from Monday 5th October.

All seating areas will be set out to allow social distancing to comply with government guidelines.

From 15th September, the number of people allowed to meet up socially has reduced to six people due to a rise in Corona Virus cases.

All County Waste Sites Back in Business.

Leicestershire County Council have announced that all 14 waste sites are now back in business with most sites open five days a week.

Whetstone tip is back to its usual opening of seven days a week but booking is still required to use the site to ensure social distancing is observed.

The Park Cafe on Dorothy Avenue yesterday donated two trolleys of refreshments of food and drink to the South Wigston branch of Fare Share.

Fare Share redistributes products to charities and community groups in need.
