Sainsbury's, Asda, Marks and Spencer's and Aldi offer a volunteer card/voucher scheme which can be purchased online by residents who are self isolating and given to the friend, family member or volunteer who does their shopping.

Leicestershire County Council- Opening of Waste Sites.

Leicestershire County Council- Opening of Waste Sites.

From Monday 18th May, some waste sites will be re-opening. The nearest sites to Glen Parva are Whetstone and Oadby.

To ensure social distancing is maintained, the sites will be operating differently to what you are used to with allocated time slots given. No booking means no entry to the site.

You can book your time slot online or by calling 0116 3050001.

CANCELLED- Glen Parva Summer Gala Saturday 8th August 2020.

It is with very heavy hearts that, due to COVID-19, we must cancel the 19th Glen Parva Gala which was due to take place on Saturday 8th August on Dorothy Avenue Playing Fields.

We feel that the restrictions won't be lifted to the extent that we could host the gala and we must follow Government guidelines and keep everyone safe.

Glen Parva Parish Council would like to congratulate Jan Martin, who has been elected Chairman for the 15th consecutive year and Stan Sidorowicz, who has been elected Vice Chairman for the 12th consecutive year.
