Grounds Maintenance Tender for Glen Parva Parish Council.

Glen Parva Parish Council are looking to appoint a contractor to maintain the open space within the Parish.

Two contracts are to be awarded covering both grass cutting & hedge maintenance to playing field standards and maintenance of ecological areas including wooded areas.

Maintaining Social Distancing During Essential Exercise.

We are lucky in Glen Parva to have such lovely open spaces where we can walk and enjoy our surroundings whilst getting our essential exercise.

However, as many opt for walks along the Nature Reserve, Great Central Way and Playing Fields, it can get busy throughout the day.

Please remember to maintain social distancing when exercising and allow plenty of space for others to safely move around you.

Glen Hills Library are continuing to operate the click and collect service on Monday's 10-12pm and Thursday's 2-4pm.

Despite the office being closed, we sometimes have lost property brought in by the caretaker- items which have been left outside or handed in by a member of the public.

Vice Chairman Stan Sidorowicz laid a poppy wreath in the Memorial Garden on 8th November on behalf of Glen Parva Parish Council to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

Memorial Hall Car Park Locking.

Due to the current situation and with the office being closed until further notice, we have had to alter the times in which the gated car park at the Memorial Hall is locked.

Whilst we actively encourage the Park and Stride scheme, we are unable to maintain the previous times in which the car park was locked.

Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman.

Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman.

Glen Parva Parish Council would like to congratulate Jan Martin, who has been elected Chairman for the 15th consecutive year and Stan Sidorowicz, who has been elected Vice Chairman for the 12th consecutive year.
