Glen Parva Parish Council would like to introduce 'Have a Say Friday' commencing 14th May 2021.
Taking place on our social media pages, this will give members of the community the opportunity to wish a happy birthday to someone, promote a local business or share some news or views.
You will be able to comment under the Have a Say Friday post once it is published on our social media platforms.

We would like to congratulate Jan Martin on being elected Chairman of Glen Parva Parish Council for the 16th consecutive year and also Stan Sidorowicz on being elected Vice Chairman for the 13th consecutive year.

If you drive your children to Glen Hills Primary School, please make use of our car park under the park and stride initiative.
Traffic gets quite heavy around the school so we urge you to walk if you can or park at the memorial hall on Dorothy Avenue, walking the rest of the way to ensure the safety of everyone.

Despite the office being closed, we sometimes have lost property brought in by the caretaker- items which have been left outside or handed in by a member of the public.
These items are often posted on our social media pages in the hope that the owners come forward. However, we are aware that not everybody has access to social media platforms.

Vice Chairman Stan Sidorowicz laid a poppy wreath in the Memorial Garden on 8th November on behalf of Glen Parva Parish Council to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

Due to the current situation and with the office being closed until further notice, we have had to alter the times in which the gated car park at the Memorial Hall is locked.
Whilst we actively encourage the Park and Stride scheme, we are unable to maintain the previous times in which the car park was locked.

If you are a vulnerable resident, or know of anyone vulnerable who needs help, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
There are support groups and help available to all vulnerable residents who are struggling during this uncertain time and there is also the Blaby District Council Community Hub on hand ready to help.
